1. Definition and characteristics of color-coated coils
Color-coated coils, also known as color-coated steel plates or color plates, are plates obtained by using cold-rolled steel strips and galvanized steel strips (electrogalvanized and hot-dip galvanized) as substrates on continuous units, after surface pretreatment (degreasing and chemical treatment), and by roller coating, applying one or more layers of liquid coatings, and baking and cooling.
Color-coated coils have many excellent characteristics. They are brightly colored, can maintain color stability for a long time, are not easy to fade, have good decorative effects, and can meet the diverse color needs of different buildings and designs. At the same time, it also has excellent corrosion resistance, whether in humid coastal areas or areas with severe industrial pollution, it can effectively resist corrosion and extend its service life. In addition, the surface of the color-coated coil is smooth, easy to clean, and has a certain scratch resistance, keeping the appearance neat and beautiful. 2. Production process of color-coated coils
The pretreatment link is crucial. The substrate is first cleaned to remove oil, dust and impurities on the surface, and then a chemical conversion film treatment is performed, such as phosphating treatment, so that a uniform and delicate phosphating film is formed on the surface of the substrate to improve the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the coating.
The coating process uses advanced roller coating technology to evenly apply the liquid coating on the surface of the substrate. The coating is divided into different levels such as primer, topcoat and backcoat. The primer mainly provides good adhesion and anti-corrosion performance, the topcoat gives the color-coated coil rich colors and appearance effects, and the backcoat is used to protect the back of the substrate. In the curing stage, the coated substrate enters the baking chamber and is cured and dried under certain temperature and time conditions to evaporate the solvent in the coating to form a solid coating. The curing temperature and time are adjusted according to the type of coating and the characteristics of the substrate to ensure that the coating has good performance. Finally, after cooling, winding and other processes, the production process of color-coated coils is completed.
3. Application fields of color-coated coils
