Comprehensive analysis of galvanized coils

1. Definition and classification of galvanized coils
Galvanized coils are steel plates with galvanized surfaces. A layer of zinc is plated on the surface of the steel plate to prevent the steel plate from rusting and corrosion. According to different galvanizing processes, galvanized coils can be divided into hot-dip galvanized coils and electro-galvanized coils. Hot-dip galvanized coils are made by immersing the steel plate in molten zinc liquid to react with the steel plate matrix to form an alloy layer; while electro-galvanized coils use the principle of electrolysis to plate a layer of pure zinc on the surface of the steel plate.
2. Production process of galvanized coils
The production process of hot-dip galvanized coils mainly includes uncoiling, degreasing, washing, drying, annealing, galvanizing, cooling, and winding. In this process, the steel plate is first pre-treated to remove oil and impurities on the surface, and then annealed in a reducing atmosphere to improve the plasticity and plating properties of the steel plate. Next, the treated steel plate is immersed in molten zinc liquid, and the galvanizing time and temperature are controlled to make the zinc layer evenly adhere to the surface of the steel plate. Finally, after cooling and winding, the finished hot-dip galvanized coil can be obtained.
The production process of electrogalvanized coil is relatively simple, including uncoiling, degreasing, washing, drying, pickling, electroplating, washing, drying, winding and other steps. After pretreatment, the steel plate is placed in the electroplating tank and passed with direct current to deposit zinc ions on the surface of the steel plate to form a zinc layer. By controlling the electroplating time and current density, the thickness and quality of the zinc layer can be adjusted.
3. Performance characteristics of galvanized coil
It has good corrosion resistance. The zinc layer can effectively prevent oxygen and moisture from contacting the steel plate, thereby preventing the steel plate from rusting. In the atmospheric environment, the corrosion resistance of the galvanized coil is particularly outstanding, and the surface can be kept bright and new for a long time.
The surface is beautiful, and the zinc layer has a silvery-white luster, which makes the galvanized coil look more beautiful and generous. At the same time, the zinc layer can also be passivated and oiled as needed to further improve its decorative effect.
The processing performance is good. The galvanized coil has good toughness and ductility, and can be bent, stretched, welded and other processing operations to meet the use needs of different fields.
Fourth, the application fields of galvanized coils
Galvanized coils are widely used in the construction, automobile, home appliances, electronics, light industry and other industries. In the construction field, galvanized coils can be used to make building materials such as roofs, walls, ceilings, doors and windows, as well as ventilation equipment such as ventilation ducts and air conditioning ducts. In the automotive industry, galvanized coils can be used to manufacture parts such as automobile bodies, chassis, engine hoods, etc. to improve the corrosion resistance and service life of automobiles. In the home appliance industry, galvanized coils can be used to produce the shells and parts of home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners. In addition, galvanized coils are also used in the production of chassis, cabinets and other products in the electronics industry.
