What are the categories of color-coated coils?

There are many varieties of color-coated plates, about more than 600, but there is still no unified classification method, because it is difficult to find a standard for distinguishing between the numerous varieties. At the same time, each manufacturer has its own unique equipment and process, and the product variety is wide. Now it is only classified according to general habits.
1. Classification by substrate used. The substrates commonly used for organic coated steel plates are: cold-rolled plates, hot-dip galvanized plates, electro-galvanized plates, alloyed plates, galvanized aluminum plates, electro-galvanized alloy plates, tin-plated plates, chrome-plated plates, aluminum plates, etc.
2. Classification by processing technology. According to different coating methods, there are organic coated steel plates made by roller coating, spraying, powder coating, laminating, printing, etc. According to the number of coatings, there are organic coated steel plates made by different processes such as one coating and one baking, two coatings and two baking, three coatings and three baking, and four coatings and four baking. According to embossing or printing processing, it can be subdivided into coated steel plates such as wood grain plates, marble grains, leather grains, and cement mortar grains.
3. Classification by coating type. Usually classified by coating used to make organic coating, there are polyvinyl chloride coated steel plate, polycool coated steel plate, acrylic coated steel plate, fluorocarbon coated steel plate, silicon polycool coated steel plate, etc.
4. Classification by coating performance. According to the performance characteristics of organic coating, there are high weather-resistant color-coated plates, high temperature resistant color-coated plates, self-extinguishing color-coated plates, sterilization color-coated plates, non-stick snow color-coated plates, fingerprint-resistant color-coated plates and self-lubricating color-coated plates, etc.
5. Classification by special coatings and uses. For example, organic coated steel plates with epoxy zinc-rich coating and cold-rolled steel plates as substrates, have surface flocking steel plates and some special machine-coated composite plates, such as wood film plates, sandwich panels, shockproof panels, etc.
Color-coated plates have the advantages of both organic polymers and steel plates. They have good coloring, formability, corrosion resistance, and decorativeness of organic polymers, and high strength and easy processing of steel plates. They can be easily punched, bent, deep drawn, welded, etc. This makes the products made of organic coated steel sheets have excellent practicality, decorativeness, processability and durability.
